Terms / Effective 1 January 2026

Conditions of use

These terms describe the scope of the information and tools on this independent website.

Operator and scope

This website is operated by Cedarwhirlbantr Media Ltd, 24 Bridge Street, Cambridge CB2 1UJ, United Kingdom, company no. 14836271. Questions about these terms may be sent to [email protected]. These terms apply to use of the website and its local message-writing tool.

Informative content, not a promised result

The articles provide general educational information about music production. They are not legal advice, personalised engineering advice or a warranty that a technique will suit a particular recording. No chart placement, commercial outcome, sound quality or rights clearance is promised.

Software capabilities, service terms, prices and technical requirements may change. Verify relevant details with the current developer documentation and test a workflow on copies of your files before relying on it. Maintain backups and appropriate monitoring levels.

Independence and third parties

Cedarwhirlbantr is independent and is not affiliated with the developers mentioned. Product names, trademarks and standards belong to their respective owners. Mentioning a product does not endorse it or grant any licence to use it.

External links provide context. We do not control third-party websites, downloads, services or their terms. Any purchase, upload or service agreement you make with a third party is separate from this website.

Music, permissions and generated material

You are responsible for establishing the permissions needed for your recordings, samples, performances, uploads and releases. A generated output or separated stem is not automatically cleared for public use. Commercial usage permission from a service may differ from copyright protection and does not remove all possible third-party claims.

Do not use the website or its communication channels to infringe intellectual property, privacy or other rights, impersonate others, distribute harmful code or interfere with service security.

Using the contact tool

The message tool constructs a preview in your browser and offers clipboard copying and a text-file download. It does not deliver a message, create a support ticket or guarantee a response. You must send any prepared text separately. Clipboard and download behaviour depend on browser permissions and device settings.

Send only information you are entitled to share. Do not include passwords, sensitive personal information or confidential recordings. Personal information is handled as explained in our Privacy notice.

Website materials

Unless otherwise indicated, the website’s original text, diagrams and design are protected by intellectual property rights. You may read, link to and make reasonable personal reference copies of the guides. Any quotation must comply with applicable law, identify its source and avoid implying our endorsement. These terms do not restrict statutory quotation, fair dealing or other legal exceptions.

Availability and liability

We aim to provide useful, accurate information, but the site may contain errors or become unavailable. To the extent permitted by law, we do not accept liability for losses caused by reliance on general information, third-party services or interruptions outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Your mandatory consumer and other statutory rights remain unaffected.

Applicable law and changes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory protections available under the law where you live. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without removing any right a consumer may have to bring proceedings in their home jurisdiction.

We may revise these terms for future use of the website. The effective date above identifies the current version. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
